Book #8 from the series: The Heart Realm

Shattered Start

The Story of Sera

About

She is held together with carefully stitched threads of deception tied off with lies.

Bound by a web of her own creation, Seraphina—known to some as Sera and others as The Shadow—has always been a girl of extraordinary powers. Once a timid child who felt the pain of the Realm as her own, she is thrust into a perilous role when the kings recognize her unique abilities and enlist her in their desperate plan to protect the land. But Seraphina struggles to control her powers, and everything spirals out of control on her sixteenth birthday when a catastrophic event ensnares her best friend, Evie, in the chaos.

Grief-stricken and desperate, Sera is approached by a mysterious force that offers her a chance to set things right. In her quest to resurrect Evie, Seraphina unwittingly alters the fate of the Realm forever. This gripping prequel to The Realm Series uncovers the dark secrets behind Averie's escape from the impending doom that threatens their world.

Alrighty..........um what?!?!?!?!
I have had a love hate relationship with Sera/Seraphina/The Shadow/who knows who she will be next.
Like everyone else I am a sucker for an origin story, but this one....this one has me questioning if I should be mad at Sera or if I would do the same thing.
I LOVED finding out how Averie made it out.
LOVED all the little ties that threads every person in the Realm together.
HATED HER CRAZY MANIPULATIVE SELF.
Ugh....love hate but couldn't put it down!
By the end I don't know if she is a villian, a sad girl, or just plain crazy.
